So I’ve been sitting on this one for awhile and decided that since I DEVOURED everything that I got to review, that it’s finally time for me to tell you all HOW WONDERFUL IT IS!!
I had the opportunity to try Kill Cliff. Don’t know what that is? Well they started out with recovery drinks, and have recently started making protein bars as well.
Kill Cliff was gracious enough to send me three of the recovery drinks to try, as well as two boxes of protein bars… They didn’t last long.
I first tried the Double Awesomeness (Pomegranate-Watermelon) recovery drink.. It was delicious. They’re kind of like Sprite in the way that they are bubbly.. I had them both before and after my workouts depending on the day and they were great, didn’t upset my stomach or anything. (I have a very sensitive stomach.)
I moved on to the Tasty (Blood Orange) which was amazing too!! I was then excited to try the camo canned drink, Free-Fall (Lemon Lime) which turned out to be by FAR my favorite. Don’t get me wrong the Double Awesomeness was.. well, awesome, and Tasty was.. well, tasty.. but the Free-Fall is spectacular! It took all I had in me to not drink them just to drink them.. (They’re really that good!)
The protein bars were also amazing. I should start with the fact that I’ve tried SOOO many protein bars, and I can honestly say that I will never have any other one but Kill Cliff’s! So many protein bars are hard, or chalky, or just plain gross. Not Kill Cliff’s!! Seriously they are sooo good! Even after being in my lunchbox with some cold food just a few minutes out of there and they’re ready to eat!
The Salted Caramel & Almond is to DIE for! It’s absolutely delicious! And even though I’m not a huge artificial strawberry girl, the Strawberries & Cream was also delicious. (And the boyfriend loved those one too!) The KC Bars became a daily thing for me.. helped me keep full until lunch when my 8:30-9am hunger hit!
Honestly guys, you MUST try Kill Cliff! If you’re not into recovery drinks, then at least pick up one of the protein bars when you’re out and about and see one. I promise you that you will NOT be disappointed!!
I’m not going to, I forgot until this morning that I needed to go do packet pick-up for this race.. Gosh.. I really need races to bombard my email with emails or else I forget everything that I have to do! Luckily we don’t have any plans for tomorrow so it works out well!
SO. I’m running the Detroit Free Press International Half Marathon! I ran my FIRST marathon at Detroit FreeP in 2012.. Ended up walking 11 of the 26 miles.. So hoping for better luck with only running 13.1 miles this year! *Crosses Fingers*
Andrew said that he’s going to try to do the 1,000 burpee challenge when I’m running. (Aren’t we just the cutest fitness couple every? 😉 ) So don’t you worry, I’ll keep you up to date on how that went post half!
I’m going to be completely honest with you. I haven’t been ‘training’ for this run. Just running when I want to, and I’m 200% ok with that. I told you guys a bit back that you have you WANT your goals.. but PRing my half marathon is not what I want right now.. I want a booty.. and some abs. 😉
So this race for me is just a training run. I love running. I love seeing ‘new’ sights. I’m very excited to get to run the bridge and the tunnel to and from Canada.. So I’m going to kick ass in terms of fitness for the day, then go on with my day.
Hope you have a great race if you’re racing this weekend!!!
HELLO EVERYONE!!! Gosh, I love Fridays! I’m sure that I’m not in the minority here.. Something about having TWO full days of ‘nothing’ is wonderful.. and by nothing, I mean things other than work.. sometimes..
1.The boy and I are going bowling tonight with one of my best friends and her fiancé! I’m pretty excited. Partly because last time we saw them it was us stuffing our face with cake for her cake testing, and partly because I haven’t been bowling in forever!!
2. I have a Symposium to go to for work on Saturday. UGH! Luckily since it’s at my University I’m just going to go for the poster session where I’ll present the work that I’ve been doing. (Picture from last year’s Symposium… I really miss my hair. =[ )
3. Saturday night we have plans of going out in Royal Oak with my box for a ‘night on the town.’ I’m pretty excited about it to be honest.. I’m not really planning on staying out long, or drinking, but it will be nice to hang out with everyone and just enjoy the evening. Who knows, maybe I’ll get a glass of wine to pre-game for going home to watch one of the Saw movies. 🙂
4. Sunday I’m going to take Andrew to Stony Creek Metropark!! I figure with the leaves all changing it would be nice to hike some of the trails.. One of my best friends and her boyfriend are going to come too! It’ll be fun! I just hope that it’s not too cold!
5. THEN we’re going to go to Yates Cider Mill! I’ve been wanting to go to a cider mill for YEARS and have never gotten around to it.. I’m going to be honest, I’m REALLY going to want a donut, but I’m going to have to pass.. (Abs don’t make themselves.) But I’m definitely getting some cider to take home! Delicious.
Well I hope you all have a fun filled weekend!! 🙂
